Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts: 1845-0715
- 36 guaranteed hours per week (with up to 3 potential cancellations per contract)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
Qualifications
- Active RN license (AHA BLS & NIHSS, must be in hand)
- Two or more years of acute care experience
- Experience in neuro/post-stroke acute care, dysphagia screenings, stroke assessments, BCMA, and interdisciplinary communication
- Proficient time management, adaptable to floating as needed across acute care units (within 25-mile radius)
- Strong, professional, and patient-focused demeanor
- Preferred: Experience with TR band management
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to a 24-bed, general medicine unit (typical ratios 1:6)
- Conduct thorough stroke assessments and dysphagia screenings
- Efficiently manage medication administration and documentation via BCMA and Cerner EMR
- Communicate collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
- Adapt to varying clinical settings and maintain compliance with dress code and hygiene standards
