Job Description

This opportunity offers a rewarding nursing role focused on delivering high-quality care in a Post Surgical/Medical Surgical unit. The Registered Nurse will provide direct and indirect patient care, ensuring comprehensive assessments and individualized care plans. This role requires clinical expertise in administering IV medications, IV therapy, and blood components, aligned with established protocols and patient safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients upon admission and continuously throughout their stay
  • Collaborate with patients and caregivers to develop and update care plans
  • Administer intravenous medications, IV therapy, and blood products safely and accurately
  • Maintain competency in patient restraint and seclusion procedures, including monitoring and care
  • Follow clinical standards and policies to deliver effective patient care on the Post Surgical unit

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current RN license with Medical-Surgical experience (minimum of 1 year preferred)
  • BLS certification required
  • Proven competence in handling patient restraints and seclusion protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Additional Details:

  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
  • Previous employees of the facility are not eligible for this position
  • Orientation of up to 16 hours will be unpaid
  • The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during a 13-week contract period
