Exposure to advanced documentation (Cerner), Pyxis medication systems, and a streamlined communication approach will enhance your clinical expertise, all while allowing you to add diverse accomplishments to your professional portfolio.
Schedule/Hours
- Rotating weekends
- Set pattern schedules with flexibility to pick up open shifts
Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- Experience in medical-surgical and/or telemetry nursing strongly preferred
- Adaptability to float to the ED for admission holds
- Proficiency with Cerner and Pyxis systems is beneficial
- Strong communication and bedside reporting skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in MS, Swing, and Telemetry units
- Manage patient loads with ratios of Tele 4:1 and MS/Swing 5:1
- Respond to rotating weekend shifts and occasional call-offs
- Collaborate with pharmacists (on-site days/remote nights), remote intensivists, and on-site hospitalists
- Perform thorough shift reports at the bedside using AIDET communication approach
