Exciting opportunity available for a skilled Registered Nurse to collaborate on a dynamic Medical-Surgical team. In this contract role, you will utilize your expertise to provide outstanding patient care and support, while benefiting from a collegial working environment. Rotating weekends and holidays are part of the schedule, and you may be asked to take on intermittent charge duties; comprehensive charge training and shadowing will be provided to ensure your comfort and success in this capacity.
Schedule/Hours:
- Rotating weekends (Every Other Weekend required)
- Rotating holidays (Every Other Holiday required)
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Current and active RN license
- Previous experience in Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
- Strong assessment, documentation, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Flexibility for weekends, holidays, and potential charge responsibilities
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients
- Accurately assess, monitor, and document patient condition and progress
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Participate in patient care planning and education
- Step into intermittent charge nurse duties as needed (with training provided)
- Uphold all safety, regulatory, and infection control standards
