This contract position in a modern hospital setting offers collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and exposure to a diverse range of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Schedule & Hours

  • 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 19:00)
  • Expectation to work every other weekend
  • Maximum of 7 days requested time off during contract
  • Floating to comparable units as needed
  • Holiday coverage in accordance with assignment length and facility policy

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • At least 2 years of nursing experience (first-time travelers welcomed)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Proficient in Med/Surg nursing with an emphasis on renal care (HD catheter management, manual PD/PD cycler)
  • Comfortable managing cases involving sepsis, tele monitoring, ETOH/CIWA protocols, UTI, CKD, and hypertensive emergencies
  • Experience with adult to geriatric patients preferred
  • Previous use of EPIC and Pyxis systems; SBAR communication
  • Strong organizational, assessment, and clinical documentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective nursing care for a diverse adult/geriatric population
  • Manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 20-room unit
  • Monitor and respond appropriately to patient status changes, including renal emergencies and sepsis
  • Implement physician orders, medication administration, and telemetry monitoring
  • Utilize hospital information systems for charting and medication management
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and patient/family education

Additional Requirements

  • Compliance with all facility onboarding and orientation protocols
  • Willingness to work assigned holidays per facility policy
  • Wear navy, white, or combination scrubs as specified
