Deliver exceptional nursing care in an adult to geriatric medical-surgical setting with a specialized focus on renal health at a reputable healthcare facility located in Stockbridge, GA. This contract opportunity is ideal for RNs with at least two years of experience, though first-time contract nurses are also encouraged to apply. The role emphasizes hands-on management of hemodialysis catheters, manual peritoneal dialysis, PD cyclers, and the care of patients facing sepsis, alcohol withdrawal (CIWA), urinary tract infections, and chronic kidney disease with hypertension emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care on a medical-surgical unit with renal focus.
• Manage hemodialysis catheters and peritoneal dialysis treatments.
• Monitor patients carefully for sepsis and other acute conditions.
• Utilize telemonitoring systems effectively to ensure patient safety.
• Document and communicate patient care using Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR protocols.
• Maintain a patient ratio of approximately 1:6 in a 20-room unit.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years in clinical nursing (first-timers accepted).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience or knowledge in renal dialysis, sepsis management, and telemonitoring.
• Adaptability to use electronic health records and medication dispensing systems.
• Ability to work a day shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00).
• Flexibility to work every other weekend and major holidays as assigned.
• Willingness to float within the unit when needed.
