As a Registered Nurse on a dynamic mixed-acuity/specialty unit, youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, adapt to diverse workplace practices, and experience varied leadership styleskey factors for accelerated career growth. Each shift provides exposure to high-acuity rehabilitation, sharpening your critical thinking and broadening your skill set among passionate healthcare professionals.
Schedule/Hours:
- 0630-1900 or 1830-0700
- Weekend rotation: Every third weekend
- No on-call
- Expectation to work select holidays; if grouped holidays occur, only one assigned
- Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks
Essential Qualifications:
- Current RN license with at least 1 year of experience
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Trach care, vent/bipap/cpap management, IV, PICC, central lines, wound care, bowel programs, TPN, and tube/drain management experience
- Strong acute care/interdisciplinary communication skills
- Open to first-time travelers with managerial approval
- EMR proficiency (Cerner) and experience using Omnicell and Plum 360 IV pumps
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with TBI, SCI, CVA, amputations, burns, and multi-trauma (excluding peds)
- Manage a 1:6-7 nurse-to-patient ratio, sometimes up to 7 patients
- Collaborate with MDs, NPs, therapists, PCAs/CNAs, and unit coordinators
- Float within scope as needed
- Participate in inclusive and structured orientation
