The assignment offers exposure to fast-paced MedSurg/Telemetry units, working with a dynamic team and seeing a diverse patient population with diagnoses spanning cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and more. Youll broaden your clinical skills, work alongside seasoned leadership, and expand your resume while gaining valuable insight into varied workplace practices and caregiving approaches.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts: 06451915 or 18450715
- Weekend rotation: every other
- Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays
- Up to 6 days RTO (excluding holidays, with contract adjustments if needed)
- Six-week scheduling cycles
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification
- Minimum 18 months of recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience
- Comfortable with floating within region; must be willing to float as needed
- At least six months of direct EPIC EMR experience
- Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, non-titrating cardiac drips, IV starts, tube/drain care, wound care, and dressing changes
- First-time travelers welcome
Responsibilities:
- Manage patient assignments (typically 1:56, may increase in surge scenarios)
- Deliver care for a wide range of diagnoses: cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and general medical/surgical
- Collaborate with multidiscipline support including CNAs, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, RT, and on-site/virtual hospitalist coverage
- Float to partnering facilities as regionally required
