This assignment provides exceptional exposure to a Level 3 Trauma and Stroke Center with 241 licensed beds. Youll work on a 24-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit supporting a fast-paced, diverse patient population. Here, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team, experience regional floating, and enhance your professional expertiseexpanding your resume through engagement with various leadership approaches, technologies, and patient care philosophies. Schedule:
- Day Shift: 0645-1915
- Night Shift: 1845-0715
- Weekend rotation: Every other
- Occasional low-census call; potential for mid-shift floating between regional facilities (paid for travel during shift)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid RN license with at least 18 months of Med/Tele experience
- Accepting first-time travelers
- Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- EPIC EMR experience (minimum 6 months)
- Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, non-titrating cardiac drips, IV starts, blood product administration, general med/surg skills, wound care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients with a variety of diagnoses (Cardiac, Respiratory, Neuro, etc.)
- Manage patient ratios typically 1:5-6 (with surge up to 1:7-8)
- Collaborate with CNAs, phlebotomy, IV/VAT, RTs, hospitalists, intensivists, and tele-tech teams
- Float as needed within assigned regional facilities, with support throughout
