As a traveling nurse within a Medical-Surgical Oncology unit, you'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, benefit from a variety of workplace practices, and collaborate with leaders who offer diverse perspectives. This assignment offers the chance to broaden your clinical skills, bolster your resume, and foster adaptability by caring for patients with varied and complex needs.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts from 6:45 PM7:15 AM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Every other weekend required: either Friday/Saturday night or Saturday/Sunday night
- No call obligation
- Potential float to align with unit needs
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license
- Experience in Medical-Surgical (MS), preferably with oncology patient care
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing clinical environments
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and collaborative teamwork
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology/med-surg patients
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status accurately
- Work within interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Provide support, education, and compassion to patients and families
- Maintain adherence to facility policies and best practices
