Job Description

A registered nurse with emergency department or neuro ICU experience is needed for a contract assignment in Scottsdale, AZ. This opportunity offers work at a nationally recognized teaching hospital specializing in tertiary care, including lung, liver, and kidney transplants, and is affiliated with the top-ranked Barrow Neurological Institute. Candidates will provide critical care in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment using Cerner EMR systems while engaging with nursing students in a dynamic learning setting.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of core experience in Emergency Department or Neuro ICU
  • Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Cerner EMR proficiency mandatory
  • Must have completed Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam within 48 hours prior to placement
  • No facial piercings and natural hair colors only in accordance with facility policy
  • Candidates must be free from any current contracts within the healthcare system for 12 months before acceptance

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care adhering to hospital and unit protocols
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, academic hospital setting
  • Precept and educate nursing students as part of the hospitals teaching initiatives
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Cerner EMR systems
  • Participate in patient care activities within designated critical care units
