Job Description
Seeking an experienced RN proficient in Med/Surg nursing to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and deliver top-quality care to a diverse patient population.
Schedule:
- Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license
- BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum of two years Med/Surg nursing experience
- ACLS certification optional
- Strong knowledge relating to age-appropriate patient care
- Demonstrated respect for patients' rights and effective communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced setting and shifting priorities
- Physical ability to manage prolonged standing, walking, and patient handling
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement quality patient care across assigned units
- Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care consistent with organizational standards
- Communicate clearly with patients, physicians, families, and the care team
- Respond effectively to emergency and crisis situations
- Uphold patient privacy, dignity, and rights at all times
- Support and mentor other nursing staff as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements
