An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical care. This contract position requires providing coordinated, high-quality nursing care for individual patients or patient groups, following established standards and the nursing process. In this role, you will oversee and guide assigned nursing staff while ensuring seamless cooperation with other healthcare disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical patients.
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care to optimize patient outcomes.
- Utilize critical thinking and independent judgment in all clinical decision-making processes.
- Monitor patient conditions, report changes, and document all care provided accurately.
- Maintain a supportive patient environment that promotes healing and safety.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, post-discharge care, and health maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Current and active Registered Nurse license.
- Demonstrated experience in a Medical-Surgical (RN-MS) setting.
- Proven ability to supervise and direct staff members in a clinical environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams, patients, and families.
- Adept at prioritizing workload and managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Proficient in both written and electronic documentation.
