A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN-MS) skilled in medical telemetry to provide exceptional care on a 41-bed Medical Telemetry Unit in Salem, MA. This contract position offers a chance to work in a dynamic hospital setting with a diverse patient population requiring expert cardiac telemetry and critical care skills.
Responsibilities include providing nursing care to patients with cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use disorder, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal conditions. The role involves interpreting telemetry strips, managing cardiac drips, TRBands, and high-flow oxygen therapy. Nurses will work 36 hours per week on rotating shiftsdays rotating between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, and 7p-7a, with night shifts fixed on nightsand be prepared to float to other applicable units as needed. This environment uses the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in telemetry or cardiac care
- Proficient in reading and interpreting tele strips
- Experience with cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, TRBands, and high-flow oxygen therapy
