This position offers exposure to a diverse patient population on a busy medical-surgical unit specializing in post-surgical, oncology, neuro, and trauma recovery. Working alongside leaders in acute and specialty care, youll collaborate with experienced teams and broaden your nursing perspective with innovative practices and patient-focused approaches. Schedule & Assignment:
- Nights: 1900-0730
- Guaranteed weekly hours: 36 or 48 (must specify preference)
- 13-week assignment
- Every other weekend required, no call
- Daytime orientation week required
Qualifications:
- Active RN license (Missouri or compact eligible)
- Minimum 1 year recent med-surg, inpatient experience
- BLS (AHA required)
- ACLS (AHA) and TNCC preferred
- Comfort working with surgical/trauma, GI, GU, overflow ortho patients
- Team-oriented and patient-centered mindset
Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams
- Adhere to best practices for confidentiality, patient rights, and safety
- Employ advanced equipment, including Alaris IV pumps, wound vacs, and remote telemetry
- Flexibility to float to support patient care across units as needed
