Advance your nursing career with a rewarding contract role specializing in inpatient Med Surg care. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact within a healthcare setting serving a diverse patient population. The assignment lasts 13 weeks, with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Candidates may choose from flexible guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 per week and should anticipate working every other weekend as required. Orientation will take place on day shift, requiring full availability during the orientation week.

Essential Qualifications:

• Active RN license eligible in Missouri, or current Missouri RN licensure
• Minimum of one year of inpatient Med Surg experience required
• BLS certification from AHA required; ACLS (AHA) preferred
• Strong skills in patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to care for a diverse group of patients
• Flexible to float to other units as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care, assessment, and documentation for medical-surgical patients
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and ancillary departments
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality at all times
• Support and evaluate care delivered by other direct caregivers
• Adhere to established practice standards and regulatory requirements
• Frequently stand, walk, and participate in patient lifting/turning as needed

Additional Details:

• Unit features 15 beds with modern equipment including EPIC EMR, Alaris IV, and Nova glucose meters
• Black scrubs required; open-toed shoes not permitted
• Flu vaccination mandatory for assignments between November 1 and April 1 (no declinations)
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated per facility requirements
