Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) unit
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals on treatment plans
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, care plans, and recovery processes
- Document all care activities and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record
- Ensure patient safety and comply with infection control policies
- Participate in care conferences and contribute to the improvement of patient outcomes
