Schedule:
- 7PM 7AM
- Full Time
- Every other weekend
- On-call only if flexed off
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently deliver both routine and complex care in a medical-surgical setting, leveraging evidence-based nursing processesassessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocols, monitoring patient responses and fostering a safe care environment.
- Thoroughly document care, patient histories, symptoms, and outcomes to ensure accurate records and optimal continuity.
- Understand and address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
- Provide patient and family education, assessing learning needs and connecting them with essential resources.
- Assign and delegate tasks to other care providers in support of optimal team management.
Key Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Louisiana or compact state
- BLS certification required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of one year professional experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
