Stepping into a travel nursing role here, youll expand your expertise in a 32-bed facility specializing in medical-surgical and telemetry care. The team structure and diverse patient population will allow you to engage with various leadership styles and cutting-edge workplace practices, enriching your resume and sharpening your skills. Exposure to innovative electronic documentation (Cerner) and medication systems (Omnicell) will add further depth to your professional background.
Schedule/Hours
- On-call shifts may be assigned, depending on patient census.
- Weekend coverage: Full-time staff work two weekend shifts per pay period; part-time staff work one.
- Flexible scheduling options: Some staff follow a set schedule, others are flex.
Qualifications
- Active RN license with medical-surgical (MS) experience.
- Strong telemetry skills; able to manage ratios of 1:4 (tele/pediatrics) and 1:5 (med surg).
- Adaptable to step-down units, caring for patients with higher acuity (1:3 ratio).
- Familiarity with Cerner documentation and Omnicell medication systems a plus.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to a variety of patients, including step-down and telemetry populations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and utilize 24/7 support services, such as pharmacy and phlebotomy.
- Respond to shifting census with on-call availability as needed.
- Contribute to patient safety and satisfaction by embracing unit standards and supporting best practices.
