Provide comprehensive nursing care on a fast-paced medical-surgical telemetry unit in Racine, WI. This 32-bed unit cares for patients with complex conditions including diabetes, kidney, liver, and heart failure, respiratory issues, stroke, and cardiac dysrhythmias. You will be responsible for coordinating safe, compassionate care using evidence-based practices and clinical decision-making to optimize patient outcomes in alignment with established standards and policies.
Key responsibilities include managing wound care, insulin and heparin drips, tracheostomies, chest tubes, nasogastric and feeding tubes, and telemetry monitoring. You will work in a supportive environment with charge nurses, unit leaders, and clinical resource nurses, handling an average of 8-10 admissions and discharges daily.
