As a travel RN on this dynamic mixed acuity/specialty unit, youll work with a wide range of cases, including Traumatic Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Strokes, burns, amputees, and multi-trauma patients. Schedule/Hours
- Shifts: 0630-1900 or 1830-0700
- Every third weekend rotation
- Holiday coverage: Assigned one grouping (not both) if holidays are consecutive
- 6-week schedule cycle
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Active RN license and 1+ year of relevant experience
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in: trach care, vent management, bipap/cpap, IV/PICC/central lines, wound care, bowel programs, TPN, drains & tubes, pulmonary & laryngectomy care, tube feeds
- Cerner EMR familiarity is a plus
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in fast-paced environments
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a varied patient population
- Execute specialized interventions per patient needs (excluding pediatric care)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Effectively float within assigned units as required (always within your scope)
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and medication management
