Schedule/Hours:
- Night Shifts: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Full-time assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver routine and complex patient care independently, adhering to established standards and utilizing the full nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, interventions, evaluation)
- Support and educate patients and families, addressing holistic psychosocial, cultural, and emotional needs
- Effectively administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for side effects and therapeutic outcomes
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient histories, symptoms, treatments, and care
- Delegate and supervise care effectively to optimize outcomes and workflow
- Make appropriate clinical assignments within the team to manage patient care efficiently
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current RN license in Louisiana or a compact state
- BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant MedSurg experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
