Position Highlights:
- Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts: 19000730, three shifts per week (rotating days)
- Every third weekend required
- Rotating holidays
- 36 hours/week guaranteed
- No call requirements
Provide top-tier care on a dynamic 34-bed post-surgical medical-surgical unit, working with a patient ratio of 1:5 and serving post-op surgical cases, overflow medical patients, and bariatric recoveries. Join a cohesive staff committed to patient advocacy and teamwork, while utilizing modern resources including Pyxis and Epic EMR.
Qualifications Desired:
- Current RN license and BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; post-surgical/med-surg background highly preferred
- Solid teamwork, adaptability, and strong time management
- Comfort working with surgical drains and experience charting in Epic EMR
- Positive attitude and adaptability to varied patient populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for post-op surgical, bariatric, and overflow medical patients
- Effectively advocate for patients and coordinate interdisciplinary care
- Float to similar med-surg units as needed by rotation
- Adhere to infection control, hospital policies, and assigned education modules
