Job Description

Advance your nursing career by providing vital care to patients on a specialized Bone Marrow Transplant unit. The facility is seeking two experienced Registered Nurses for a night shift contract, offering exposure to a dynamic, team-centered environment focused on oncology and hematology care.

Schedule:

  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
  • Every third weekend required
  • Rotating holidays as needed
  • Weekly guaranteed 36 hours

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification required
  • Previous experience in stepdown, critical care, blood administration, electrolyte replacement, and neuro assessment
  • Experience with central line dressing changes and hazardous drug administration
  • Flexibility to float to stepdown, critical care, and oncology units as needed
  • EMR proficiency in EPIC and Beacon preferred
  • Oncology, hematology, bone marrow transplant, and critical care/vent experience highly desirable

Responsibilities:

  • Care for hematology and bone marrow transplant patients requiring advanced therapies, including IV therapy, neuro assessments, blood and electrolyte replacement, and chemotherapy
  • Monitor patients with vents and use specialized equipment (Alaris Pumps, Phillips monitors, Stryker beds, Sara Steady, and patient lifts)
  • Perform timely and safe medication and chemotherapy administration
  • Provide updates and collaborate closely with interprofessional teams
  • Support patients with long-term needs, demonstrating exceptional compassion and communication skills
  • Participate in a brief unit orientation and complete online mandatory education prior to starting
