Advance your nursing career by providing vital care to patients on a specialized Bone Marrow Transplant unit. The facility is seeking two experienced Registered Nurses for a night shift contract, offering exposure to a dynamic, team-centered environment focused on oncology and hematology care.
Schedule:
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
- Every third weekend required
- Rotating holidays as needed
- Weekly guaranteed 36 hours
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification required
- Previous experience in stepdown, critical care, blood administration, electrolyte replacement, and neuro assessment
- Experience with central line dressing changes and hazardous drug administration
- Flexibility to float to stepdown, critical care, and oncology units as needed
- EMR proficiency in EPIC and Beacon preferred
- Oncology, hematology, bone marrow transplant, and critical care/vent experience highly desirable
Responsibilities:
- Care for hematology and bone marrow transplant patients requiring advanced therapies, including IV therapy, neuro assessments, blood and electrolyte replacement, and chemotherapy
- Monitor patients with vents and use specialized equipment (Alaris Pumps, Phillips monitors, Stryker beds, Sara Steady, and patient lifts)
- Perform timely and safe medication and chemotherapy administration
- Provide updates and collaborate closely with interprofessional teams
- Support patients with long-term needs, demonstrating exceptional compassion and communication skills
- Participate in a brief unit orientation and complete online mandatory education prior to starting
