Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Recent experience in a Med Surg unit or comparable acute care setting
- Solid clinical knowledge in medication administration, assessments, and patient monitoring
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and patient families
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and respond effectively to changing patient needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient treatment plans
- Administer medications and treatments according to policy and provider orders
- Monitor patient progress, document clinical changes, and initiate appropriate interventions
- Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding ongoing treatment and discharge planning
- Maintain comprehensive, accurate electronic medical records
- Uphold professional standards, infection control protocols, and safety practices throughout every shift
