Key Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Recent experience in a medical-surgical (MS) unit
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- BLS certification (additional certifications preferred)
- Experience with electronic health records and EMR systems
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a medical-surgical setting
- Monitor patient status and recognize changes in condition, initiating appropriate interventions as needed
- Administer medications, IVs, and treatments per provider orders and hospital protocol
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, including physicians, therapists, and support staff
- Educate patients and families on conditions, care plans, and post-discharge needs
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and progress in patient records
- Adhere to infection control procedures and safety guidelines in all tasks and environments
