Job Description
This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Registered Nurse with at least two years of experience, specializing in med/surg, orthopedics, and post-op care. You will work on the 4 West unit, providing compassionate and efficient nursing care to a diverse patient population in a 30-bed med/surg and post-op surgery unit.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality nursing care to med/surg and post-op orthopedic patients
- Managing patient assignments with a 6:1 patient ratio
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care
- Maintaining accurate patient records using Cerner EMR system
- Adhering to established protocols and safety standards
- Floating to other units as staffing needs require
Qualifications:
- Current RN license with at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Proficient in med/surg and post-op nursing care, with strong time management skills
- Friendly, compassionate demeanor with a strong sense of urgency and resilience
Schedule and Work Environment:
- 7 PM shift with 36 guaranteed weekly hours
- Work every other weekend
- No call requirements
- Dress code: navy scrubs; no fake or long nails, or ear pods permitted
