Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in Medical-Surgical (MS) nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment
- Commitment to compassionate patient care and safety standards
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a medical-surgical unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status, vital signs, and clinical progress
- Administer medications, treatments, and perform procedures according to clinical protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary departments, and other nursing staff to ensure continuity of care
- Educate patients and family members about conditions, care plans, and discharge instructions
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in quality assurance and peer review activities as needed
