Key Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a medical-surgical setting
• Comprehensive understanding of nursing process and clinical documentation
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
• Proficient in IV therapy, wound care, and medication administration
• BLS certification (required); other relevant certifications a plus
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with interdisciplinary teams

Schedule:

• Contract position; schedule will be discussed during the interview process

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and plan individualized care in accordance with physician orders
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and monitor patients for changes in condition
• Provide pre- and post-operative care, including patient education and discharge planning
• Collaborate with physicians, care managers, and ancillary staff to coordinate holistic care
• Accurately document all observations, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR
• Support a safe and positive environment by adhering to established policies and infection control standards
• Offer emotional support and education to patients and families regarding diagnosis, procedures, and at-home care
