This medical-surgical assignment provides exposure to a dynamic patient population, including trauma, neuro, and orthopedic cases, making it an ideal role for nurses eager to expand their resume with in-demand specialty experience. Supportive clinical leadership and a collaborative team environment ensure you acquire new perspectives and strengthen your skills on the 6th floor of a busy hospital.
Schedule:
- 12-hour day shifts (5:30 am start)
- Every weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
- 13-week contract, 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Holiday rotation; floating as needed within a 60-mile facility radius
Qualifications:
- Active WI RN license
- AHA BLS & NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 3+ years nursing experience
- At least 2 years in Med/Surg and 1 prior travel assignment
- Proficiency with EPIC charting in the past 2 years
- Neuro/Ortho trauma experience a must
- Adaptable, hardworking, and social team players
- Required to wear black scrubs
Responsibilities:
- Manage patient ratios of 1:5 on days
- Provide care for trauma surgical, neuro, and orthopedic patients
- Perform critical nursing interventions, including post-op neuro and ortho procedures
- Float within the facility and to nearby locations as needed
