This specialized opportunity allows you to expand your nursing experience on a prominent medical-surgical unit, engaging in trauma surgical, neuro, and ortho cases. Working alongside professionals from various backgrounds gives you excellent insight into diverse workplace practices and leadership approaches, enhancing your skillset and resume. With exposure to trauma and post-operative neuro and ortho care, you will gain invaluable experience that will set you apart in your nursing career.
Schedule/Hours
- 12-hour night shifts (5:30 PM start), 36 hours guaranteed per week
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday rotation
- 8-week contract starting June 8, 2026
Qualifications
- Active WI RN license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS certification
- At least 3+ years of RN experience (REQUIRED)
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience and at least 1 prior travel assignment (REQUIRED)
- Experience with EPIC charting (within the last 2 years)
- Must have significant neuro/ortho trauma experience, with strong skills in post-op care of neuro and ortho trauma patients
- Flexible and adaptable; able to float within 60 miles based on facility need
- Not open to new travelers
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care to trauma surgical, neuro, and ortho patients (including post-op care)
- Manage high-acuity patient load with ratios of 1:51:6 on nights
- Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment
