Job Description
Provide expert nursing care in a dynamic acute care setting specializing in MS/Telemetry at a Level III Trauma hospital. This night shift position offers a contract opportunity with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts weekly from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every other weekend coverage. Enjoy the engaging challenge of working with a patient ratio of 1:5-6 and opportunities to float within the facility or sister units as needed.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current RN license in South Carolina or Compact license held prior to start
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience; first-timers welcome
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS; NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
- Telemetry competency essential
- Previous charge nurse experience and community hospital exposure are highly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, high-quality care to patients in the MS/Telemetry unit
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, maintaining excellent communication and use of Epic charting system
- Adapt to floating assignments to meet staffing needs within scope
- Uphold facility standards and participate in emergency response protocols during hurricane season (JuneNovember)
