Job Description

Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications:

  • Valid and unrestricted RN license
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum of one year experience in a medical-surgical oncology unit
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification highly desirable
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and compassion for patients and families

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient-centered care to individuals with cancer diagnoses
  • Administer chemotherapy, transfusions, and other specialized oncology treatments
  • Monitor and promptly address changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Educate patients and families on treatment options and symptom management
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and electronic medical records
  • Adhere to the highest standards in infection control and patient safety
