Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license
- Minimum of one year recent experience in Med-Surg Oncology or a related acute care environment
- Proficient in chemotherapy administration, patient assessments, and care planning
- Strong communication and critical thinking abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting systems
Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts and length of contract will be specified during the interview process, with the potential for flexible scheduling options
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional bedside nursing care to adults with cancer and related medical-surgical needs
- Coordinate and oversee chemotherapy infusions, symptom management, and supportive care
- Perform ongoing assessments, monitor treatment responses, and promptly address complications
- Collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Provide education to patients and families regarding treatments, side effects, and self-care strategies
- Maintain meticulous, accurate documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Advocate for patient safety and comfort, upholding the highest ethical and clinical standards
