Job Description

Schedule:

  • Night shift: three 12-hour shifts (19:00 07:30)
  • Every other weekend required

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid RN license with a minimum of one year recent nursing experience
  • Nursing background in MS Oncology or similar setting required
  • BLS certification required
  • Chemotherapy administration experience; chemo certification preferred
  • Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias (Relias EKG exam and competency required)
  • Willingness to float throughout the Oncology department based on staffing needs
  • Open to first-time travelers

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive patient-centered care for oncology and BMT patients, including those undergoing autologous stem cell transplants and chemotherapy
  • Maintain a 4:1 patient ratio, delivering skilled assessments, interventions, and education
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Accurately document care and patient progress using EPIC EMR
  • Respond effectively to changing patient needs and rapidly evolving clinical situations
