Schedule/Hours:
- Must arrive the Thursday before your start date for an employee health appointment Friday.
- Be prepared for flexible scheduling to accommodate patient care and clinical priorities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active, unencumbered RN license.
- Minimum of one year of recent MS Oncology nursing experience.
- Proficient in Epic EMR systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy.
- Competence in handling port-a-caths, PICCs, Hickman catheters, and performing venipuncture.
- Strong understanding of hazardous drug management and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatments and disease processes.
- Excellent record-keeping and clinical documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently administer a variety of oncology therapies and injections per provider orders.
- Maintain stringent records of patient conditions, treatments, and therapy responses.
- Monitor and document all intravenous therapies and respond to emergency situations.
- Provide patient and caregiver education regarding medication, side effects, nutrition, and accommodations for physical changes.
- Ensure all necessary informed consents are verified before chemotherapy.
- Uphold strict safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for staff and patients.
