Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license
- Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of one year recent experience in Medical-Surgical Oncology nursing
- Strong knowledge of oncology nursing standards and safety protocols
- Ability to monitor and respond to the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care to those undergoing cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation, and symptom management
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to changes or complications
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and follow prescribed treatment plans
- Provide patient and family education on cancer processes, side effects, and post-discharge care
- Collaborate with oncology physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, coordinated care
- Document observations and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record
- Support best practices for safety, infection control, and patient dignity
