Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients facing cancer as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical Oncology. This contracted nursing role is designed for an RN committed to advancing their skills and making a genuine impact in oncology patient care. In this role, youll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support patients and their families throughout their treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to oncology patients on the medical-surgical unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, treatment responses, and side effects
• Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and other prescribed medications safely
• Support oncologists, surgeons, and care providers with patient assessments and interventions
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and symptom management
• Apply critical thinking to rapidly changing patient conditions and communicate effectively with providers
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to protect immunocompromised patients

Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Previous clinical experience in Medical-Surgical and Oncology nursing strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification (required); OCN certification is a plus
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Compassionate approach to patient care, with sensitivity to the unique challenges of oncology patients
