Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current, active RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Medical-Surgical Oncology nursing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Comprehensive understanding of oncology protocols, chemotherapy administration, and related side effects
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication abilities
- Dynamic adaptability to changing patient needs and clinical situations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, medication administration, and monitoring for oncology patients in a medical-surgical setting
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient responses, managing side effects appropriately
- Provide patient and family education on treatment plans, symptom management, and post-discharge care
- Accurately maintain electronic health records and patient documentation
- Support patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives aligned with hospital standards
