Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Active RN license, BLS required
- Minimum one year of recent acute care oncology nursing experience
- Chemo and biotherapy certification preferred
- Comfort and compassion working with oncology and hematology patients
- Step-down experience and familiarity with fluid bolus management, standing orders, and acute patients is a plus
- Strong adaptability, quick learning, and team-oriented mindset
Schedule:
- 7pm-7am
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for oncology/hematology patients, including medication, blood, and electrolyte administration
- Monitor and manage patient status with advanced equipment (telemetry, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, Meditech EMR)
- Assist with and support procedures such as lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies, and thoracentesis
- Adhere to best practices in patient safety, medication management, and infection prevention
