Travel nursing in Kannapolis provides a unique opportunity to broaden your expertise in Medical-Surgical Oncology within a collaborative outpatient clinic setting. Exposure to a variety of workplace methods and leadership styles will further strengthen your clinical and interpersonal skills. Add new dimensions to your resume by working alongside specialists in Hematology and Breast Clinics, while developing confidence to run oncology clinics independently.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00a5:00p
- No weekends, no on-call, no holiday shifts
- Rolling 4-week schedule cycles
- All RTO considered with manager approval
Key Duties:
- Independently manage Medical Oncology clinic operations, including high-level patient and phone triage
- Engage in patient treatment planning and act as a clinical liaison
- Perform phlebotomy, port-a-cath access, and peripheral blood draws
- Assess, triage, and coordinate with multidisciplinary providers for patient care
- Utilize EPIC for clinical documentation and messaging
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license; BLS required
- OCN certification preferred
- At least 1 year of Oncology RN experience (2+ years strongly preferred)
- Clinical or strong acute care experience desirable
- Proficiency with EPIC and experience running Hematology/Breast Clinics highly valued
- Strong general assessment and triage competency
