Deliver specialized patient care in a dynamic medical-surgical oncology setting, where your expertise as a Registered Nurse makes a direct impact on patient outcomes. This contract role requires a skilled RN ready to contribute to a dedicated team supporting individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
Schedule/Hours:
- Tuesday start dates align with facility onboarding.
Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license.
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in medical-surgical and oncology nursing.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (must be active before start).
- Chemo certification is required.
- Demonstrated ability to administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects.
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow strict safety and infection control protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy, cancer therapeutics, and supportive medications using established protocols.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions throughout their cancer treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and fellow nurses to implement personalized care plans.
- Document nursing interventions, patient responses, and medication administration accurately.
- Provide compassionate education and support for patients and their families managing cancer and related therapies.
- Participate in ongoing unit meetings, education, and quality initiatives.
