Schedule/Hours:

  • Must arrive the Thursday before start for Friday health appointment
  • Flexible travel nurse assignment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Significant experience with MS Oncology nursing
  • Proficiency in administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and injections (chemo, hormonal, non-hormonal)
  • Competency in managing port-a-caths, PICCs, and Hickman catheters
  • Skilled in venipuncture, dressing changes, and lab draws via ports, PICCs, Hickman catheters
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR
  • Knowledgeable about hazardous drug handling, PPE, and chemotherapy consent protocols

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently administer cancer therapies as per provider orders
  • Accurately document patient conditions, treatments, medications, and responses
  • Monitor IV therapies, notify providers of unusual events, and initiate emergency actions as needed
  • Deliver patient and caregiver education on disease, medication, side effects, and lifestyle adjustments
  • Maintain compliance with hospital safety, infection control, and policy protocols
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned
