Job Description

Bring your nursing expertise to a highly regarded medical-surgical oncology unit in a supportive, collaborative environment. This contract assignment offers the opportunity to work closely with an accomplished team while delivering quality patient care to oncology and medical-surgical populations.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 7:00 PM 7:00 AM shifts

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with recent acute Med/Surg experience
  • Background in oncology care preferred
  • Chemo certification highly desirable (required to hang/handle chemotherapy)
  • ACLS certification preferred
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills essential

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care for a patient population with a focus in oncology, including chemotherapy administration (if qualified)
  • Utilize the Meditech EMR system and iPhone-based communication to document care and collaborate with the care team
  • Maintain patient ratios averaging 1:5 for optimal care
  • Accurately complete routine and specialized nursing procedures, vital sign monitoring (standard q8h; remote telemetry patients q4h), and follow established policies
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment, supporting new staff and fostering an inclusive, team-oriented culture
