Job Description

Deliver critical care in a rewarding environment working with medical-surgical oncology patients. As a Registered Nurse specializing in MS Oncology, use your advanced clinical skills and compassion to deliver high-quality nursing to complex patient populations during this contract assignment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Tuesday start dates

Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year recent Oncology nursing experience required
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification mandatory
  • Chemo certification required to begin assignment
  • Strong knowledge of MS Oncology protocols and pharmacology
  • Proficient in chemotherapy administration and handling of oncology emergencies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive treatments safely and accurately
  • Perform regular patient assessments and monitor for side effects or complications associated with oncologic therapies
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust individualized care plans
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and symptom management
  • Document all treatments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control guidelines and all safety protocols
