Job Description

This contract opportunity is tailored for Registered Nurses skilled in Medical-Surgical Oncology, ready to provide exceptional care to an oncology populationincluding managing stem cell transplants and chemotherapy administration.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 3x12-Hour Night Shifts (19:00 07:30)
  • Every Other Weekend Required

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in oncology or med-surg setting; first-time travelers welcome
  • BCLS certification required; chemotherapy administration certification preferred
  • Competency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias (must pass Relias EKG exam)
  • Experience with auto stem cell transplants and chemotherapy highly desirable
  • Ability to float throughout the oncology department as needed
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with a 4:1 ratio

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based care to oncology patients across various units as assigned
  • Administer chemotherapy and support patients through transplant processes
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry; manage dysrhythmias as indicated
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain meticulous documentation using the EPIC charting system
  • Provide education and compassionate support to patients and families during challenging times
