Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent hospital acute care oncology experience
- Chemo and biotherapy certification (preferred)
- Background in step-down or acute hematology care (preferred)
- Compassionate, adaptable, and quick to learn
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to oncology and hematology patients
- Manage medication, blood, and electrolyte replacement therapies
- Assist with procedures, including lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies, and thoracentesis
- Collaborate closely with fellow nursesprimary nursing model with significant RN autonomy
- Maintain meticulous documentation in Meditech EMR
- Uphold unit policies and safe handling practices around hazardous drugs
