Schedule/Hours:
- 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, 12-hour night shifts
This 18-bed Blood Cancer Unit is led by experienced professionals recognized nationwide for their achievements in quality care. Surrounded by tenured leaders and skilled colleagues, youll gain firsthand insights into best practices ranging from evidence-based interventions to team-driven workflows.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care oncology experience in a hospital setting
- Preferred: Chemo and biotherapy certificate
- Additional strengths: Step-down unit experience, compassion for oncology populations, rapid learning ability
Responsibilities:
- Care for patients with high-acuity hematological conditions
- Administer medications, blood products, and electrolyte replacements in accordance with strict safety protocols
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to execute standing orders and manage complex cases
- Assist with procedures such as lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies, and thoracentesis
- Adhere to all unit guidelines regarding hazardous drug exposure and safe handling practices
