Contribute to patient-centered cancer care in a dynamic hospital environment, utilizing your expertise as an experienced Registered Nurse with a specialty in Medical/Surgical Oncology. This contract opportunity allows you to make a significant impact, working with individuals navigating oncology treatment.
Schedule/Hours:
- Tuesday start dates
- Flexible start scheduling to align with facility protocols
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- At least one year of recent Oncology nursing experience
- Chemo Certification required
- Current ACLS certification
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients across all stages of treatment
- Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families regarding treatments and symptom management
- Accurately maintain and chart all relevant patient data
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols
