Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialty in Medical-Surgical Oncology to work on a contract basis in Dallas, TX. This role offers the chance to provide advanced nursing care to oncology patients, applying clinical expertise in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients with cancer.
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in symptoms or treatment side effects.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and support staff.
  • Administer chemotherapy and other oncology treatments following established protocols.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and self-care after discharge.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing with a focus on oncology preferred.
  • Familiarity with oncology treatments, chemotherapy administration, and symptom management.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and provide patient-centered care.
