Schedule/Hours:

Qualifications:

  • Valid and unrestricted RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year current experience in Medical-Surgical Oncology nursing
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • BLS certification (additional certifications in oncology nursing preferred)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering patient-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care, monitoring and assessing vital signs, symptoms, and reactions to treatment in oncology populations
  • Administer chemotherapy, oral medications, and supportive therapies in accordance with protocols and patient safety guidelines
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, oncology specialists, and ancillary staff to coordinate individualized treatment plans
  • Educate patients and families regarding disease, treatment, symptom management, and resources for ongoing support
  • Maintain meticulous and accurate patient records, adhering to all hospital and regulatory requirements
  • Uphold rigorous standards of patient advocacy and infection control
