Make a meaningful impact in oncology care as a dedicated RN serving on a Medical-Surgical Oncology unit. You will play a pivotal role supporting patients and their families through complex cancer treatments and recovery, using your clinical expertise and compassion to provide exceptional care.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position
Required Skills & Experience:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of 1 year experience in medical-surgical oncology nursing
- BLS certification (required)
- Chemotherapy certification or ONS preferred
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment supporting high-acuity patients
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based patient care in accordance with established protocols
- Administer chemotherapy and provide symptom management for oncology patients
- Collaborate closely with oncologists, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary team members regarding care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment, medications, and side effect management
- Perform detailed documentation of patient responses, concerns, and progress
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes
