Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in oncology care as a dedicated RN serving on a Medical-Surgical Oncology unit. You will play a pivotal role supporting patients and their families through complex cancer treatments and recovery, using your clinical expertise and compassion to provide exceptional care.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in medical-surgical oncology nursing
  • BLS certification (required)
  • Chemotherapy certification or ONS preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment supporting high-acuity patients

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based patient care in accordance with established protocols
  • Administer chemotherapy and provide symptom management for oncology patients
  • Collaborate closely with oncologists, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary team members regarding care plans
  • Educate patients and families on treatment, medications, and side effect management
  • Perform detailed documentation of patient responses, concerns, and progress
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes
